Sumer practical training
SUMMER PRACTICAL TRAINING – IMPORTANT INFO
According to the recommendation of a member of RS Crisis management committee, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Petrović, compulsory summer practical training is available only for students who received the second dose of the vaccine minimum 3 weeks before attending the practical training (which is the period required for the development of sufficient antibody response).
Students are obligated to present the vaccination certificate at the entrance to the clinic.
Students who are not fully vaccinated are obligated to present negative rapid antigenic test valid for 5 days (at their own expense).

Sova– platform is implemented as an official support e-learning platform at the University of Novi Sad as well as at the Faculty of Medicine Novi Sad. We have already created accounts at Sova– platform for all students of the Faculty of Medicine. Please check login instructions in the Inbox of your official student email.
After logging in to SOVA platform, it is necessary to enroll to
1. all courses that you should attend in spring semester
as well as to
2. all courses that you attended, but haven’t passed the exam.
We recommend you to go to NOTICE BOARD MF and to subscribe to the Current event –forums of all Departments teaching courses that you are attending in order to stay updated.

Eduroam
The Eduroam (Education Roaming) wireless network is operational at our Faculty.
Access has been granted to all students (accessible from the already existing account for the SOVA platform).
Access is available at the Faculty of Medicine and all academic institutions in the country as well as in all countries - members of the Eduroam initiative. You can find more details about the Eduroam initiative here

Visa

Candidates from the countries for which an entrance visa for Serbia is required, will receive a Confirmation Letter issued by the Faculty of Medicine Novi Sad, confirming that the candidate has submitted his/her application and that he/she is obligated to take the entry exam on the indicated date in Novi Sad.
Applicants / students should apply for a TYPE D visa by the relevant Serbian consular authority abroad.
The applicants/students are obligated to extend their short-term visa when they arrive in Serbia and to obtain a residential / study visa after the enrollment.
Residential/ study visa is issued in the Novi Sad Police Department
(Bulevar kralja Petra prvog, 11, 21000 – Novi Sad, +381 21 488-4000 and 488-5000)
according to the study period approved by the Faculty.

Important practical issues
Attendance of teaching classes
Classes take the form of lectures, seminars, labs and practical work in hospitals and other health institutions. Students are obligated to attend all forms of classes.
Attending classes is the basis for gaining ECTS points based on class duties.
Students should know that some Departments allow missing of the certain amount of theoretical and/or practical work during the semester, while others do not allow it at all.
A student can compensate for missed classes of a subject in a manner stipulated by relevant Department if justified reasons for absence exist and the student has missed less than 30% of practices / labs.
Enrollment and Closing Semester
Enrollment. At the beginning of each Semester, student is obligated to submit to the Department of student service the enrollment form (“ŠV OBRAZAC” in Serbian) and proof of payment of relevant tax.

Closing Semester. At the end of each Semester, student must close it in order to take the exams. For closing semester, student must collect in his/hers Index the signatures from course teacher and must bring it along with the filled Semester closing form (“SEMESTRALNI LIST” in Serbian) to the Department of student service for checking and putting the stamp. Only student who closed the semester is eligible to take the exams of the courses taught in that semester.

Applying for exams
Students do apply for the exam by filling in the application (“ISPITNA PRIJAVA” in Serbian) and submitting it in the box in front of the Office for Student Affairs any time, but prior to the deadline.
The schedule for all examination periods and the deadline for application submission will be posted on the web-site.
